Code of Conduct
By attending this event, you agree to act in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
This Event is being hosted at Cockburn Youth Centre, and is strictly open to young people aged 16-24. This is because Cockburn Youth Centre serves young people up to 24 years old.
At this event, you are expected to behave in a safe and respectful way. Bullying, aggression, violence, and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Accessibility and Respect
Please keep aware of your surroundings. Keep clear of walkways so everyone can navigate safely and efficiently. Wheelchair and other mobility aid users have a harder time navigating than non-mobility aid users.
Do NOT touch someone’s mobility aid(s) or help someone using a mobility aid (or otherwise) without their permission.
Please be aware of other people's sensory needs. We ask that you do not wear or use perfumes, body spray or any products that contain fragrances at this event.
Social Engagement and Respect
We will be using Interaction Stickers for attendees to signal to each other how much social interaction they feel comfortable with. Please respect people’s use of the Interaction Stickers. Follow people’s lead and don't take it personally if people aren't open to engaging.
Keep in mind that it is okay for you and others to change how much interaction you feel up for. If you need a break at any time, the Chill Zone is available as a separate low-sensory space with limited social interaction.
We’ll have stickers for writing your name and pronouns if you’d like. Please respect and use people’s names and pronouns. If you get it wrong, just apologise, correct yourself and continue.
As an EPIC Event attendee, you are expected to follow the directions of EPIC Event Staff and Cockburn Youth Centre Staff. You must stay within the designated EPIC Event locations and treat property with care and consideration.
Failure to behave appropriately may result in you being asked to leave.
Thank you for making sure EPIC is safe for everyone 💚
